Meet Kambo
Application
The application of Kambo is non-traditional according to our typical western standards. However, the ancient tribal ways are the only way known to science to distribute Kambo's peptides without denaturing or destroying their functional form.

Kambo is applied through 3-5 shallow circular burns on the skin,
called gates. With the top two layers of skin burned and wiped away, Kambo can travel through your entire body via your lymphatic system.
How Kambo is Gathered
The Kambo I use has been gathered through an established connection and relationship in Peru. My teacher, Jason Fellows (pictured) has gone into the jungle and helped gather Kambo himself. This is the process he described:

At night, they travel into the forest and sing the song of the Frogs
(simialar to a duck call). The frogs are up in the canopy and they sing back.
Someone climbs the tree, and cuts off the smallest branch they can in order to carry the frog down without harming them.
​
Once on the ground, the frogs are carried back to the village. They vibe and stay on those branches overnight and the villagers harvest the secretion
from them in the morning.
​
Each of the frog's limbs is gently tied and spread out. The frog's nose is tickled with a blade of grass or their feet are gently squeezed until they release the secretion.
​
Since the secretion is the frog's protection against fungi, bacteria, and any
potential predators (they don't have any natural predators), the villagers leave
some on the frog so it has some while it regenerates the full amount again over
the next week or two.

After the secretion is gathered, the frogs are untied and brought back into the forest.

Bioactive Peptides
Bioactive is a term used to describe a substance that has an effect on living tissue. Kambo's peptides are readily absorbed and used by our bodies to adjust and balance bodily functions.
